Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

If you're like me, you grew up reading books by the oh so talented Dr. Seuss!  As a kid, our family had a Dr. Seuss book club subscription and I remember getting a new book in the mail each month.  It was the highlight of my day!  Our daughter is now the lucky recipient of the collection of very well loved Dr. Seuss books.

Today is Read Across America Day and it's time to grab your favorite book and READ.  Dr. Seuss, Theodor Geisel, was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 2, 1902.  He died in 1991 and today would have been his 103rd birthday.  His first book was published in 1937 but his stories live on for future generations to enjoy.
